Hurricane Ida roared through Southeast Louisiana on the 16th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, a triggering date for everyone who calls Louisiana home. Our hearts are especially devastated for the parishes hardest hit by Hurricane Ida – I hope we will all raise a glass this weekend, wherever we are, to our beloved state and neighbors. I know we will come together to heal our community, because the resiliency of Louisiana is unmatched.
The LSU Health Foundation, New Orleans is all accounted for, and everyone is safe, healthy and eager to return to the office. We hope that you and your families are safe and healthy. While things can be replaced, our friends, family, and supporters of our beloved institution cannot. You are what makes home, home.
We are working remotely from various locations around the region. If you would like to contact the Foundation, please give us a call at 504.568.1608, or if you have a staff member you are already working with, our phones are working. Response time may be slightly delayed, but your call, if missed, will be returned within 24 hours. We, like our faculty and staff working around the clock, remain dedicated to our mission.
Donations are welcome and can still be processed at this time. We ask that you hold on sending checks, and please consider making your donation via credit card or direct deposit (ACH). To receive instructions on how to donate via ACH, please call 504.568.2422. Your continued support of our mission is vital to the restoration of our city, state, and LSU Health community.
